Senior Video Editor for Finance YouTube Channel

We're voice leaders in investing, not entertainers — the brand sits closer to a private bank or a premium publication than a personal-finance YouTuber. We're hiring a full-time, in-house Video Editor to lead production on the Zack Bakos YouTube channel — our primary acquisition channel — plus supporting Shorts and wider social output as the channel grows. Critical — finance content experience is paramount This is the single most important filter for this role. We need to see: Direct experience editing finance, investing, business, or markets content Linked examples of finance edits you have personally cut — not channel showreels, not adjacent work An understanding of how to make data, charts, and dense talking-head content watchable without dumbing it down or dressing it up as hype Applications without finance examples will not progress. A creator background of your own, or time inside a YouTube production team in this space, is a significant plus. What you'll do Edit 2 long-form videos per week from raw footage to publish-ready (face cam, b-roll, charts, data overlays) Build branded lower thirds, stat cards, and motion graphics from the RoseTree brand kit Clean audio to broadcast standard — EQ, compression, de-noising, loudness targets for YouTube Colour grade face-cam footage to a polished, editorial finish Cut Shorts and repurposed content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms Run your own pipeline from script handoff to delivery — 48–72 hour turnaround per video Required 3+ years editing long-form video at a senior or lead-editor level Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, plus After Effects (or comparable) Strong audio and colour grading chops Working knowledge of YouTube retention and pacing, not just clean cuts Comfortable remote, deadline-driven, able to run multiple videos in parallel Engagement & pay Full-time, in-house, remote. $2,000–$4,000/month paid monthly, dependent on experience and finance editing track record.
