We're looking for a product-minded UI designer to redesign the visual layer of Monaza, a personal finance app built in React Native. The app is live on both the App Store and Google Play. The core flows and navigation are already designed and built — we need someone to make it feel clean, modern, and ready for a global audience. What Monaza does: Monaza helps people track spending, forecast their money runway, and understand how many days their money will last. Think of it as a simpler, manual-first alternative to apps like Revolut or YNAB — no bank connections, no complexity. What we need: The current design was built for the Angolan market. We're now expanding to be country-agnostic, and the UI needs to reflect that — simpler, more universal, less cluttered. This is a visual redesign, not a UX overhaul. The information architecture and user flows stay as they are. Specifically: Redesign 8–12 core screens in Figma (dashboard, onboarding, transactions, forecast, settings, empty states) Create a small, reusable component library (buttons, cards, inputs, typography, color tokens) Deliver a clean, modern aesthetic — think Wise, Cleo, or Revolut, not heavy fintech dark mode Ensure the design works across light theme and feels natural in any language/locale What you'll get from us: Current Figma files with all existing screens and flows A clear brief with annotated screenshots of what needs to change and why Direct access to the founder (designer + developer) for fast feedback loops Full creative credit — this is a great portfolio piece for fintech mobile design Ideal profile: Strong mobile UI portfolio (iOS or Android, ideally both) Experience with fintech, banking, or budgeting apps is a plus Comfortable working in Figma with auto-layout and components You care about typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy — not just making things "look nice" Budget: $500–$1000 (fixed project) Timeline: 2 weeks Remote / async-first — any timezone works Drop a message with 2–3 relevant pieces from your portfolio. No generic proposals please — show me you've designed mobile apps before.
