About the Project We are building Aventurine, a platform for curated weekend escapes designed to simplify trips that are too small for a travel agent, but still require thoughtful planning. The platform bundles transportation, lodging, and experiences into a single, streamlined offering at an attainable price point — making it easy for young professionals to take multiple trips throughout the year. Many urban travelers aspire to weekend escapes, but the price and effort of planning often prevent those trips from ever materializing. Aventurine is designed for people who want beautifully planned getaways without the friction of coordinating every detail themselves. We’re looking for a web designer to create a clean MVP website that introduces the brand and clearly communicates the idea of curated escapes. Design Direction: The visual direction for Aventurine sits at the intersection of modern adventure and editorial sophistication. Our primary reference is Rivian ( ), whose design language combines modern digital product design with a calm, nature-oriented aesthetic. Supporting inspiration comes from Porsche, Seed, and Monocle, each contributing different aspects of the brand tone: • Porsche – confident, engineered luxury and a sense of exploration ( ) • Seed – clean, modern digital product design and minimal UI () • Monocle – editorial sophistication, typography, and refined brand identity () Monocle is referenced specifically for its corporate branding and typography, not its magazine-style website or layout. The goal is to create a website that feels modern and product-driven like Rivian, Porsche, and Seed, while maintaining editorial sophistication of Monocle’s brand identity. Overall aesthetic: • Modern and intentional • Minimal and typography-led • Premium but understated • Nature-oriented without feeling rugged or “camping-focused” Restraint and clarity are more important than visual complexity. Scope: Design the initial website experience including: • Homepage • 1–2 internal templates (example: experience page, about page) • Basic design system (type, spacing, buttons, colors) • Delivered in Figma for development handoff NOTE: Please include Links to 2–3 projects that best reflect this type of minimal, design-forward aesthetic.
