High-Volume Production Designer (Packaging & Retail) - Freelancer

The Opportunity Purple Melon is a strategic design agency helping wholesale brands secure shelf space in retail giants like Walmart, Target, and TJ Maxx. We are rapidly scaling our DesignVAULT—a high-performance subscription service—and we are looking for a rigorous Freelance Production & Packaging Designer to join our execution engine on a long-term, independent contractor basis. If you are tired of hunting for clients, chasing late payments, and dealing with chaotic "make the logo bigger" feedback, this is for you. We manage the clients, we build the strategy, and we provide crystal-clear SOPs and briefs via ClickUp. Your job is to execute pixel-perfect, retail-ready designs with speed and absolute precision. What You Will Do (The Scope): Execute and adapt packaging designs, dielines, and marketing collateral based on strict Brand Guidelines. Ensure all files are 100% "manufacturing-ready" (flawless bleeds, pantone mapping, overprint rules, and safe zones) to guarantee zero errors at the printer. Manage high-volume output in Adobe CC without losing structural consistency. Organize layers, assets, and components flawlessly. Our Vault relies on zero friction and immediate file retrieval.
