Conversion Copywriter (Full-Time) Location: Remote Hours: 40 hours/week Compensation: $2,000–$3,500 About Us We sell premium solar-powered security cameras to customers across North America. Our customers are cabin owners, farmers, and property owners who need reliable security in remote, off-grid locations. We’re looking for a copywriter who can turn technical product features into compelling copy that makes people buy. Our biggest challenge: we sell premium products in a market full of cheap alternatives. Your job is to make the value so clear that price becomes irrelevant. The Role You’ll be our primary copywriter — responsible for every word that sells. Landing pages, product pages, ad copy, emails, and everything in between. You’ll work closely with our Product Marketing Manager and report to the Head of Growth. This is not a content mill role. We want someone who thinks like a marketer, writes with intention, and obsesses over what makes people say yes. Responsibilities Write high-converting landing pages for product launches Write and maintain product page copy on our e-commerce store Create product comparison pages — us vs competitors Create ad copy for Meta, Google, and YouTube campaigns A/B test copy variants for landing pages, ads, and emails Write and refine email campaigns and flows: welcome series, post-purchase, cart abandonment, browse abandonment, win-back Write FAQ and objection-handling copy across the site Produce occasional blog articles and SEO content as needed (secondary to conversion work) Conduct customer research — study reviews, support tickets, and call recordings to understand real customer language Study competitors and identify opportunities to differentiate our messaging Collaborate with Product Marketing Manager on positioning and voice Help establish and maintain brand voice guidelines Translate technical camera features into simple, benefit-driven language Requirements 3+ years of conversion copywriting experience (landing pages, ads, emails) Proven experience writing for technical or hardware products Experience writing copy that justified a premium price point Deep understanding of direct-response principles and sales psychology Writing that sounds human, not corporate or AI-generated Ability to research and understand complex products quickly Self-directed — you figure out the angle, not wait to be told Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly Reliable internet and available for 40 hours/week Comfortable with time tracking software (Hubstaff) Our Stance on AI We use AI tools ourselves — they’re great for research, brainstorming, and accelerating work. But the final copy must be yours. We’re hiring you for your voice, your judgment, and your ability to write copy that connects with real humans. If your writing sounds like ChatGPT, this isn’t the right fit. You’ll Succeed in This Role If You’ve written landing pages that actually converted (and can talk about why) You obsess over headlines, hooks, and CTAs You naturally think about the reader — their fears, objections, desires You can take a technical spec sheet and turn it into a story people care about You do your own research before you start writing You’re proud of your voice and it comes through in your work This Role Is Not For You If You rely on AI to write your copy You need detailed briefs for every piece of content You prefer writing blogs and articles over landing pages and ads Your copy sounds formal, corporate, or generic You’ve never written for technical products You’ve never written copy that justified a premium price point Our Hiring Process We respect your time.
