Produce static and video ad creatives for paid social campaigns at speed

Designers will produce static ad creative across formats and channels, cut and edit short-form video ads, and spin up high volume variations for testing. Each cycle involves creating a full cross-platform set of statics and videos for Google Ads and Meta Ads, including multiple aspect ratios and placements.

The short version Better.com is hiring designers to run our paid ads engine. We need people who can turn out high quality static and video creative at speed, week after week. This is a contract-to-hire setup: we start you on freelance, and the designers who consistently ship great work convert to full-time. Who you are You can do both sides of the house: scroll-stopping static images and sharp short-form video. You think in hooks, variations, and test velocity, not one-off hero pieces. You have shipped paid social and performance creative before, so "make 12 variants by Thursday" sounds normal to you, not stressful. You also get that this is a public company. The work has to feel premium and on-brand, not scrappy. The bar is senior. The balance we care about most: someone who respects the brand and can still move fast. If we have to pick, speed wins for this role. We would rather have someone who ships 10 strong concepts than someone who polishes one for a week. What you will do You will produce static ad creative across formats and channels, cut and edit short-form video ads, spin up high volume variations for testing, and keep turnaround tight while holding the brand line. You will work closely with the growth team and iterate fast on what performs. The work Every cycle you're producing a full cross-platform set. To give you a feel for the volume and range, one round looks like this: Google Ads (Performance Max + YouTube + Search) 13 unique images for PMax: 5 landscape (1.91:1), 5 square (1:1), 3 portrait (4:5). Plus 7 videos: 2 horizontal pre-roll (15–30s), 2 six-second bumpers, 2 vertical 9:16 Shorts, 1 square 1:1. Meta Ads (Facebook + Instagram — Feed, Stories, Reels, In-Stream) 12 unique images: 4 feed square (1:1), 3 feed vertical (4:5), 3 Stories/Reels (9:16), 2 carousel cards (1:1). Plus 8 videos: 4 Reels (9:16), 2 feed (1:1), 1 feed (4:5), 1 in-stream (16:9). That's 25 statics and 15 videos across every major placement and aspect ratio, then variations on top for testing. If that volume excites you instead of scaring you, you're our person. What we are looking for Senior level craft in both static and motion. Real speed and a high output history. A portfolio that proves you can do performance and brand at the same time. Comfort working inside an established public company brand system.
