From faster processing times to lower costs and reduced bias, our technology is helping borrowers, investors, and financial institutions achieve better outcomes.</p> <p>Together with our 170+ partners, we’ve originated over $17 billion in home equity loans (HELOCs) on our blockchain-native platform, making Figure the largest non-bank provider of home equity financing in the U.S. Figure’s ecosystem also includes YLDS, an SEC-registered yield-bearing stablecoin that operates as a tokenized money market fund, and several other products and platforms that are reshaping consumer finance and capital markets.&nbsp;</p> <p>We’re proud to be recognized as one of <a href="https://www.forbes.com/lists/fintech50/">Forbes’ Most Innovative Fintech Startups in 2025</a> and <a href="https://www.fastcompany.com/91269557/finance-personal-finance-most-innovative-companies-2025">Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in Finance and Personal Finance</a>.</p> <h4><strong>About the Role</strong></h4> <p>As a Principal Product Designer at Figure, you will shape the experience of core products end-to-end, balancing craft with clarity, systems thinking with execution, and vision with technical pragmatism.</p> <p>You will be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Compliance, and the business, ensuring that what we design is not only beautiful, but buildable, scalable, data-sound, and grounded in real customer needs.</p> <p>This is a hands-on role for someone who sweats the details, understands how things actually get built, and elevates the work of everyone around them.</p> <h4><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead product design across multiple high-impact initiatives, from zero-to-one concepts through polished, production-ready experiences.</li> <li>Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape product strategy, user flows, service architecture, data requirements, and technical constraints early in the process.</li> <li>Think deeply about edge cases, states, error flows, and data integrity, producing designs that anticipate real-world usage and give developers exactly what they need.</li> <li>Translate complex business and user needs into simple, cohesive experiences that drive measurable outcomes.</li> <li>Evolve and scale Figure’s design system, ensuring consistency and innovation across products.</li> <li>Raise the quality bar for visual craft, interaction patterns, systems thinking, and UX rigor.</li> <li>Mentor and provide design critique to senior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of craft, collaboration, and continuous learning.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally to influence product decisions and align teams around a shared vision.</li> <li>Represent design at the executive level, communicating design rationale and customer insights clearly to stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>What We Look For</strong></h4> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in product design (UI/UX or product/interaction design), with a strong track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary work.</li> <li>Proven experience driving complex design projects from strategy through execution, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.</li> <li>Evidence of designing products that shipped, scaled, and impacted the business.</li> <li>Strong systems thinking around design components, technical constraints, and how to structure flows for engineering efficiency.</li> <li>Expert-level proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, etc.) and design systems thinking.</li> <li>A portfolio that shows high craft and strong product thinking, clear problem framing, consideration of technical tradeoffs, detailed states, data logic, and thoughtful execution.</li> <li>Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and design best practices for responsive web and mobile experiences.</li> <li>Exceptional storytelling, communication, and facilitation skills—able to align diverse perspectives and influence at all levels.</li> <li>Experience mentoring other designers and helping teams scale design impact.</li> <li>A mindset that balances design intuition with data-driven decision making.</li> <li>Adhere to all company security policies and data handling procedures.</li> <li>Complete mandatory security awareness training within required timeframes.</li> <li>Promptly report any suspected security incidents or suspicious activity to the Security team.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Experience in fintech, crypto, capital markets, AI, or other data-dense or high-regulation domains.</li> <li>Knowledge of front-end technologies or close collaboration with development teams.</li> <li>Experience defining or leading design vision, principles, or systems at an organizational level.</li> </ul> <p class="p1"><strong>Salary</strong></p> <ul class="ul1"> <li class="li1">Base Compensation Range: $158,400 - Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, internal equity, and evolving business needs.
