Web & Brand Designer for New York Fintech Week

About the role We are seeking a talented Web & Brand Designer to craft the visual identity and digital presence for New York Fintech Week. This is more than just designing an event site; it's about capturing the cultural essence of fintech in NYC. The design should be cultural, New York-native, design-forward, and credible yet cool. The ideal candidate will bring a clean, confident, and modern aesthetic that aligns with the vibrant energy of a tech week. What you’ll achieve Develop a comprehensive brand identity that includes: Ensure the brand feels rooted in NYC and fintech-forward without being sterile. Design a scalable identity that can evolve into a recognizable brand over the years. Website Design + Build We need a clean, scalable site that includes: Homepage About page Central calendar of events (core feature) Event submission form Newsletter signup Sponsor section (optional) Calendar Functionality (Very Important) The primary feature of the site will be a date-based calendar view where users can: Click between specific dates during Fintech Week See all events happening on that selected date Quickly scan event name, time, and a short description Each event listing should include: Event name Date Time Brief description Clear “RSVP” button The RSVP button will redirect to the event’s Luma page (we are not hosting ticketing on-site). The experience should feel: Easy to navigate Visually clean Not cluttered, even with many events Designed for high-volume browsing CMS Requirements We will continuously add new events leading up to Fintech Week. The backend must: Make it easy to add/edit events Allow us to assign events to specific dates Automatically populate them under the correct day in the calendar Not require engineering support Timeline We’re looking to start immediately. We move quickly and are highly responsive throughout the process. We previously explored a direction that didn’t fully capture the energy and cultural feel we’re aiming for. We’re now looking for a designer who can bring a sleek, modern, and exciting vision to life — something that truly reflects the momentum of fintech in New York.
