We're looking for a talented Freelance Video Editor who specialises in short-form content, with a strong storytelling instinct, editing taste, and a collaborative spirit. The Role As a Freelance Short-Form Video Editor, you will edit and produce vertical short-form videos for TechWorld With Nana's social media channels — including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn. You will work closely with our content team to transform long-form tutorial footage and raw clips into engaging, on-brand shorts that capture attention, communicate value, and reflect the quality of our brand. This is a collaborative role — we value editors who communicate openly, take feedback well, and feel like part of the team. Key Responsibilities Edit and produce short-form vertical videos (30–90 seconds) from long-form source material and raw footage Select the strongest clips and moments with a clear storytelling instinct Add captions, motion graphics, and visual enhancements that feel clean and intentional Maintain consistent visual style, pacing, and branding across all content Collaborate closely with the content team — proactively communicate progress, ask questions, and flag blockers early Incorporate feedback efficiently and deliver revisions in a timely manner Meet agreed deadlines for video delivery Required Skills & Experience Proven experience editing short-form vertical content for social media platforms Strong storytelling instinct — ability to identify the best moment from longer material and shape it into a compelling short Strong sense of aesthetics — clean, modern, visually pleasing edits with creative restraint Experience with captions, motion graphics, and visual pacing for short-form content Collaborative team player — responsive, open to feedback, proactive communicator Reliable and able to work independently in an async remote environment Nice to Have Experience editing tech, education, or DevOps content Familiarity with YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels best practices Experience repurposing long-form tutorial content into short-form social media clips Familiarity with DevOps or tech industry content Why Join Us Work with a globally recognized tech education brand Creative freedom within a clear visual style Collaborative, supportive team environment Fully remote, flexible schedule Long-term collaboration potential Direct impact on engineers' careers worldwide How to Apply Please submit the following as part of your application: Sample 1: A short-form vertical video edit (60 seconds or under — Shorts/Reels/TikTok) Sample 2: A second short-form example showcasing a different style or content type Your CV or portfolio link Your availability — how many videos per month can you commit to?
