Video Editor for PCB and Hardware Design Content

About the role: Flux is a PCB and hardware design platform dedicated to supporting engineers and makers. We are seeking a talented and reliable video editor to join our small content team. This ongoing part-time position focuses on creating engaging content for YouTube and Instagram as part of our growing content engine. You will play a key role in shaping the visual narrative of Flux's online presence. What you’ll be responsible for: Editing short-form clips (60–90 seconds) for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts using raw talking-head footage, demo videos, and educational or entertaining content. Creating and enhancing long-form YouTube videos (5–15 minutes), including tutorials and product walkthroughs. Initially, the workload will be around 2 - 3 videos per week, with potential to increase over time. Developing strong short-form editing instincts to capture viewer interest within the first 3 seconds. Working comfortably with technical content aimed at an audience of engineers and hardware builders. While engineering expertise is not required, familiarity with the subject matter is important. Maintaining fast turnaround times and an efficient feedback loop, with proactive communication to ensure alignment with team goals. Small team, close collaboration. We'll share raw footage, reference content, and clear briefs. We want someone who flags issues early, suggests improvements, and gets better at our style over time. Long-term relationship is the goal. Not a fit if: you only do one-off projects, need weeks of turnaround, or have no experience with technical subject matter.
