We're looking for a senior UX/UI designer to lead a 4-6 week redesign sprint for our industrial IoT platform. The platform ingests complex operational and sensor data and presents it to a range of personas, from maintenance technicians on the factory floor to plant managers and C-suite executives. The current system is live and functional but has outgrown its UX. We're undergoing a company rebrand and need a fresh UX foundation we can build on. This is a strategy-heavy engagement. We need someone who can think deeply about how different users consume dense, technical data and translate that into clear, logical flows and a scalable design system. You won't be redesigning every screen in high fidelity, but you will be setting the UX direction and visual rules for our team to extend. The platform has 6 main pages, each with 1-3 views (roughly 10-18 views total). The focus is on major user flows, not secondary features like user management or settings. Our frontend is built in Blazor. The first phase of the project involves reviewing our existing web designer's Figma outputs and brand package, then evaluating available Blazor component libraries to recommend one for us to adopt. From there, designs should leverage the chosen Blazor library's components wherever possible, while creating custom components from scratch where needed to maintain creative quality and meet UX requirements. What you'll deliver: - Blazor component library evaluation and recommendation - UX research and persona mapping (desk research based on our existing user base, no interviews required) - User flows and information architecture for the core platform pages - Wireframes documenting the primary flows and interactions - A component library in Figma, built on top of our existing brand package, web designer's Figma outputs, and aligned with the chosen Blazor library - A small set of high-fidelity reference screens demonstrating the new design direction - Design rules and documentation our team can use to build out the remaining screens What we're looking for: - Proven experience designing complex, data-dense web applications (dashboards, SaaS platforms, enterprise tools), not just marketing sites - Strong UX thinking: information architecture, user flows, and multi-persona design - Ability to make dense data feel clear and modern without dumbing it down - Understanding of component-based UI frameworks and designing within the constraints of real component libraries - Figma proficiency - Comfortable working from an existing brand package and collaborating with our web designer - Availability for a dedicated 4-6 week sprint starting mid-June - Some overlap with Pacific time for regular syncs
