Senior/Principal Product Designer for ProMom iOS App Redesign

About the job ProMom is hiring a contract Senior/Principal Product Designer to redesign core iOS experiences for our live consumer health app. ProMom is the AI co-pilot for modern motherhood. We help women navigate preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood with one trusted place for answers, planning, tracking, safety checks, product discovery, and personalized support. Modern motherhood can feel like too many tabs open at once. Our goal is to make the app feel calmer, clearer, more personalized, and easier to understand from the first visit. We are looking for a hands-on mobile UX/UI designer with exceptional product judgment, strong iOS craft, and the ability to turn complex workflows into a premium consumer app experience. What you’ll work on You will help redesign key areas of the ProMom app, including: Onboarding Dashboard Smart Calendar Maia AI assistant Tools page Journey Map The goal is not a visual rebrand. We already have an existing Figma design system. The goal is to improve the product experience, information architecture, interaction design, visual hierarchy, and implementation-ready screens for our development team. What we’re looking for Strong portfolio showing high-quality consumer mobile app UX/UI work 5+ years of product design, mobile UX/UI, or consumer app design experience Advanced Figma skills and comfort working within an existing design system Experience simplifying complex or feature-rich mobile products Strong understanding of onboarding, dashboards, personalization, progressive disclosure, and mobile interaction design Experience with consumer iOS, health/wellness, women’s health, AI assistants, calendars, productivity, or feature-rich apps is a major plus This is a remote contract role, starting at 10 to 20 hours per week for an initial 4 to 8 week engagement. There is strong potential for ongoing work as we redesign additional features and build new roadmap items. Budget is based on portfolio strength, relevant experience, and fit.
