Studio Circa is looking for a multi-functional graphic designer to support ongoing client work on an hourly basis. This role is heavily production-focused, centered around frequent menu content updates for restaurant clients, plus periodic support for social assets, event posters, and collaboration visuals You’ll work directly with our Creative Director, who will provide briefs, direction, and QA. As we build momentum and trust, you’ll gain more autonomy across both execution and creative problem-solving. What you’ll be working on Menu production and updates (core need): Update existing menus with new items, price changes, and copy edits Maintain layout integrity while adding, removing, or reorganizing sections Handle bilingual menus with strong attention to accuracy and consistency Follow our SOPs for file management, export settings, and version control Deliver updates within 24 hours of receiving notes (most updates are quick, often 15 minutes) Marketing and social assets (secondary need): Event posters, collaboration announcements, seasonal promos (digital-first) Social formats for IG stories, posts, and simple campaign assets Occasional illustration support and Photoshop-based compositing/editing Tools you must be fluent in Adobe InDesign (daily driver, must be highly confident) Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Canva (comfortable adapting templates and creating clean social assets) How we track work Work is tracked in 30-minute blocks (half-hour increments) You’ll log time in a shared tracking sheet with visibility by client and task We will create the sheet and share it with you as part of onboarding What we’re looking for Strong typography and layout fundamentals (hierarchy, spacing, contrast, rhythm) Clean production habits and excellent attention to detail Fast, reliable turnaround for menu edits and minor updates Comfort working across multiple client accounts in a single month Ability to work from a brief, plus capacity to self-direct when needed Creative autonomy and reasoning For certain assets, you’ll be expected to research references and propose design directions independently, especially for seasonal moments or event promotions (example: Halloween event creative for a restaurant). You should be able to explain your decisions clearly and tie your approach back to the context, audience, and brand. Workflow and collaboration You’ll receive requests and notes from the Creative Director We provide SOPs, templates, and clear file structure standards You’ll send back exports and working files for review, with a focus on speed and accuracy Over time, you’ll take more ownership across execution and decision-making To apply Please send: A portfolio that shows typography, layout, and production-level work (menus or editorial layout examples are a plus) 2–3 examples of social assets or posters A short note on your availability and typical turnaround time Your hourly rate in the $30–$35 USD range
