Freelance Visual Systems Designer — Brand Language (Grid-Based / Generative Forms) We’re looking for a designer to develop a cohesive visual language system derived from an existing brand identity. A new typographic logo has been defined, and we are retaining an existing flame mark as a secondary element. The remaining need is to build a distinctive, systematic visual layer that can extend across future brand applications. This is not about decoration. The goal is to create a structured, repeatable system of forms rooted in geometry, rhythm, and constraint. The ask Develop a grid-based visual language derived from the logo’s geometry and angles Create a set of refined shapes and compositions that feel intentional, precise, and ownable Explore how these forms can scale into a broader system for use across brand materials Deliver ~4 key artboards that demonstrate the system and its range Propose supporting color palette directions that complement the existing identity We will provide the current logo and brand foundation as a starting point. What we’re looking for Strong experience creating visual systems (not just single graphics or styles) A portfolio that shows geometric rigor, grid-based thinking, and compositional control Ability to translate brand inputs into structured, repeatable visual logic Sensitivity to form, spacing, rhythm, and constraint Creative reference We’re inspired by designers like GMUNK, where visual output is driven by underlying systems, geometry, and precision—not randomness or purely expressive styling.
