Somewhere right now, inside a company: an employee is typing and deleting a Slack message for the fourth time, a manager is saying “please be honest” while unknowingly making honesty impossible, an HR team is running another “anonymous survey” nobody trusts, and a founder genuinely wants transparency… but only receives polished optimism in meetings. That gap between what people really think and what organizations actually hear is exactly why we built AnonyMoose. And now we need someone who can write about that world without sounding like a corporate training video from 2012. We’re looking for a scriptwriter/storyteller to help create explainer videos and narrative content for AnonyMoose — a platform focused on anonymous workplace communication, active listening, sensitive issue reporting, and organizational trust. But this is not: “Our cloud-native AI-powered platform enables seamless employee engagement.” If that sentence excites you, this role may emotionally damage both of us. We want writing that feels: human, sharp, emotionally intelligent, culturally aware, occasionally funny, painfully relatable, and true to how modern workplaces actually function. Think: The Office Silicon Valley Succession-level subtext (minus the yachts) Startup Slack culture awkward Zoom calls performative “open culture” Gen Z managers trying to lead without becoming LinkedIn motivational posters millennial leaders trying to build healthier organizations while also surviving 14 meetings and investor pressure If you’ve ever watched a company all-hands and thought: “There are at least 11 things nobody here feels safe saying…” …you already understand the emotional territory of this product. About AnonyMoose AnonyMoose helps organizations create safer and more honest communication environments. People can: share concerns, report sensitive issues, provide honest feedback, raise difficult topics, communicate upward safely, and participate in healthier organizational dialogue. But here’s the important part: We are NOT trying to build a fear-driven “snitch-tech” product. We’re trying to build something closer to: a trust infrastructure, an organizational truth layer, a psychological safety tool, a healthier feedback culture. The product sits at the intersection of: workplace culture, leadership, communication, trust, and human behavior. Which means the writing matters a lot. What We Need From You We need someone who can write: explainer video scripts, opening hooks, narrative concepts, dialogue, scenes, emotional beats, subtle workplace humor, and modern SaaS storytelling. You should know how to make people say: “Okay wow… this is uncomfortably accurate.” instead of: “This looks like compliance software.” The ideal script should make viewers feel: seen, understood, slightly called out, emotionally engaged, and curious. Not lectured. Never lectured. The Tone We’re Looking For Imagine these kinds of moments: A manager saying: “My door is always open.” Cut to: Calendar status: “In meetings all week.” — An employee typing: “I don’t think this rollout is going well…” Delete. Replace with: “Excited about the direction!” — A founder asking: “Why didn’t anyone raise this earlier?” Cut to: everyone previously trying to raise it earlier. — An HR leader proudly launching: “Radically transparent culture initiative.” while employees are privately discussing whether the survey is actually anonymous. That emotional realism is the zone. Who You Might Be You may have: written SaaS explainers, worked in startup marketing, written YouTube sketches, written workplace comedy, created startup satire, written dialogue-heavy scripts, worked in product storytelling, or simply spent enough time inside modern organizations to understand the absurdity of them. You do NOT need Hollywood credentials. But you DO need: observational intelligence, emotional nuance, strong dialogue instincts, and the ability to write humans instead of “target personas.” You’ll Probably Be a Great Fit If… You instinctively cringe when you hear: “leveraging synergies.” You know the difference between: “employee engagement” and “people finally saying what they actually think.” You understand: Slack politics, meeting theater, startup burnout, passive-aggressive alignment culture, feedback anxiety, leadership blind spots, and the strange emotional ecosystem of modern work. You can write humor without turning serious topics into jokes. You can write seriousness without sounding like a policy PDF. You understand subtext. You know what people mean when they say: “Just circling back.” Deliverables Initially: 60–90 second explainer video script optional 30-second cutdown concept directions opening hooks scene/dialogue ideas voiceover-friendly structure Potential future work: campaign concepts launch videos product storytelling social video concepts brand narrative work What We’re NOT Looking For Please do not apply if your writing style sounds like: “In today’s fast-paced business environment…” Or if every script becomes: generic startup optimism, exaggerated productivity hype, corporate motivational language, or LinkedIn thought-leadership cosplay. We are intentionally trying to sound more: “modern intelligent human” and less: “enterprise brochure.” Bonus Points If… You: understand startup culture deeply, follow modern SaaS brands, appreciate subtle internet humor, understand Gen Z workplace dynamics, have watched too much The Office, have workplace trauma you turned into observational comedy, or can write scenes where tension exists without anyone explicitly saying the tension. Massive bonus if you can write: awkwardness, realism, pauses, and “things unsaid.” Because that’s basically the entire product. How To Apply Please send: Relevant scripts or portfolio Any SaaS/product storytelling work Any comedy/dialogue/sketch writing samples A short sample scene based on this prompt: “An employee wants to say something important but doesn’t feel safe saying it publicly.” We care more about: insight, tone, and emotional intelligence than polished agency language. Final Note This role is not about “making a software explainer.” It’s about translating a very modern workplace reality into a story people instantly recognize. The best submission will probably make us laugh a little… and then stare into the distance for a few seconds afterward. That’s the vibe.
