Brand Illustrator Needed: Custom Icon System for Fintech Real Estate Platform

Lenderly is a modern lender directory for real estate investors seeking hard money and bridge loans. We're a Silicon Valley-minded company bringing transparency and technology to a traditionally slow-moving industry, and our current illustration style doesn't reflect that. We're looking for a talented illustrator to develop a fresh, custom icon and illustration system that positions us alongside brands like Chime, Starling, and Monzo rather than a 2018 stock art library. What We're Looking For We need someone to create a cohesive set of custom flat icons and spot illustrations for use across our website, marketing materials, and social content. The style should feel modern, approachable, and ownable -- nothing that looks like it could have come from Shutterstock or Flaticon. Specifically, we're drawn to: Chime's style: custom flat illustration with a tight color palette, hand-drawn warmth, conceptual metaphors (not literal representations) Starling's style: quirky, slightly imperfect linework with limited color, clever and specific object choices Monzo's style: bold, graphic, abstract shapes with saturated colors on distinct card backgrounds We'll share a full reference document with screenshots and direction notes upon hire. Deliverables 10-15 custom icons covering core concept areas: lending, construction/rehab, search and comparison, credibility and verification, education/resources 3-5 larger spot illustrations for key website sections (hero areas, feature callouts) All files delivered in SVG + PNG, organized and labeled A brief style guide documenting the icon system (stroke weight, palette, sizing rules) so it can be extended in the future Our Brand Lenderly's palette is built around green (think fresh, modern, not corporate). We want the illustration style to feel warm and human without being cutesy, and credible without being stiff. Our audience is real estate investors, so we want to signal "we get the industry" while also feeling like a tech platform.
