AI-Native Product Designer for Creative Video Content - NYC Based

Contra is launching YouTube tutorials (Contra_HQ) to help freelance designers and creatives earn more by working smarter. We’re producing two types of content: tools tutorials (how to use AI design tools in your workflow) and design trend deep-dives (helping designers differentiate their portfolio work). We’re looking for a product designer with experience as an educator for content creation, based in NYC, who is confident in learning and using new AI design tools in their daily workflow, and teaching on camera! You’ll be teaching tutorials as on-camera talent, bringing real expertise and genuine enthusiasm. Tools You’ll Work With Figma, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Bolt, Framer AI, Galileo AI, Relume, LovArt, Anything AI What You’ll Do Film 2–5 videos per month (8–12 min long-form tutorials + occasional Shorts) Learn and demo new AI design tools with creative projects Follow a general script while bringing your authentic voice and project demos Batch filming sessions in Williamsburg, NYC What We’re Looking For Active product design practice with a strong portfolio of shipped digital products Already using AI tools (Cursor, v0, Figma AI features, etc.) in your design workflow Comfortable and natural on camera for long form content  Quick learner who can pick up a new tool and demo it credibly within a few days Based in NYC for filming sessions Bonus: Existing social media presence or YouTube experience Requirements If you have videos of educational content please include: 2–3 educational videos where you’ve been the on-camera talent (YouTube, Loom, TikTok, course content, etc.). We’re especially interested in tutorials or walkthrough-style content. If you don’t have prior teaching videos, please record: A 30–45 second unedited video (phone is totally fine) where you briefly explain a design or AI tool you recently learned and how you’re using it in your workflow.
